The Clan started back in 2007 under the name of Greek Meister Clan, its purpose was to unite all Greek Half Life 2 Deathmatch gamers and share gaming values and experience among players, it was based on a small community that later in the year 2008 suddenely changed grounds. More and more players from all over the world were joining the Clan, from different countries and other spoken languages but yet were all carrying the tag Greek Meister Clan on them. Thus, at the end of 2009 the Clan had to change its name in a way that would not affect the existing tag GMC and to be able to provide the same quality of gaming experience to all its member in the world, this brought about the name Global Meister Clan.

The Clan’s headquarters are located in Athens, Greece, its founder goes by the name of egmeister. The Clan has more than one leader, each leader supervises players of a certain game i.e. the leader of Counter Strike Source goes by the name of Nero, all leaders are in charge of the Clan’s success.
